Why are You likened to the wind?
gentle breezes and furious din
uncontrollable, unpredictable too
is there something I should learn about You?
Why are You likened
to the wind?
at once refreshing, and then dangerous again
appearing suddenly, disappearing so soon
is there something I should learn about You?
Why are You likened
to the wind?
one moment yearned for, the next I'm frightened
where it comes from, where it goes, I've no clue
is there something I should learn about You?
* I'm on some kind of roll here. Lately,
illustrations in nature pop up, and capture my attention.
While studying the text of the parable of the Two
Foundations (one man built his house on a rock,
and others built their houses without a solid foundation),
I walked outside to sit and watch tropical storm
Gustav blast through the yard, while playing on
my twelve-string guitar. The above li'l ditty was
the result.
Gustav was upgraded to the first Hurricane
of the 2002 season today (9/11/2002), but it's far
enough off the coast not to be a problem here in
Salem.
