If you are a person who has spent much time in church, you will probably find that the way we do things at The Gathering is a bit different. Yes, yes, we do have music, and we worship in song. But, we don't have a pipe organ. Instead we have guitars, drums, keyboards, and the like. Now that's not too different, a lot of churches are doing things that way today. We also have a teaching time. This too is just like most church experiences, but here we begin to reach out and follow a new adventure in spirituality.

We believe that open discussion, and relational dialogue is a necessary element in personal growth. So you will find that The Gathering has time to hear what you have to say, and a place for you to ask those tough questions, which have been gnawing away at your heart for some time now.

According to the Bible, church is not a building, nor is it an event which takes place on Sunday mornings. Church is defined as God's dwelling place, and God has chosen to build people together into a unified group which He can dwell within.

You will find that we tend to take time with one another. Not in some syrupy, gooey manner which will chase you macho guys away, but in a real down to earth, "get to know you" style. We seek to develop relationship with one another, in a way which mirrors what the Bible says Christians are supposed to be - brothers and sisters. So, when you visit us at The Gathering, you will find that we will look to hear from you, and we will hope to get to know you.

If it sounds like we might have a friendly, albeit "in your face" approach to church life, well, I guess that just about sums it up.
